Prayer of Repentance For The People of God
Lord, help us to walk in obedience to Your Word in 2 Chr. 7:14, which promises us: “If my people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and Pray, and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Father God, we pray this prayer that Daniel prayed on behalf of Israel, and we pray for the peace of Israel and Your Church with You and for Your Sovereign Will to be done in us and our nations through “The Faith” in the cross. With Daniel, we confess we have done wickedly and have turned every man to his own agendas and his own selfish desires away from Your Will in the cross. We therefore are not worthy of You or Your Tender Mercies. We confess that Your Church has been divided because we have departed from the unity that is found only through “The Faith” in the cross. We confess that we have strayed from You, and have desired the carnal temporal things of the world rather than Your Perfect Will in the furtherance of Your Kingdom because we have strayed from the message of Your cross. Forgive us for our sins, and seeking our own things instead of Your Will. We confess that our selfish ambitions are still alive, because we have rejected Your message of the cross; and our love for You and for our Brothers and Sisters has grown cold, because we have not remained crucified with Christ. Forgive us for our selfishness, our disobedience and our doubt in Your Gospel of The Kingdom. Forgive Your People, for becoming conformed to this world, and letting worldliness and covetousness come into our lives by rejecting the message of the cross and not laying down our lives through this One Faith so that Jesus can live in us and do Your Will. Lord, we confess that, those of us whom You have chosen to put into Leadership have been intent on pursuing our own success, and establishing our own kingdoms here on earth, because we have rejected Your One Way of the cross. Forgive us for our doubt in the message of the cross which has brought about fleshly professionalism and man-centered programs that cause us to lean on our own understanding instead of acknowledging You in all our ways by death of self through “The Faith” in the cross. We confess that by rejecting identification with Your Son’s death on the cross we have emulated the ways of the world in an attempt to “make Christianity more appealing to those who are in the world”, despite the fact that You have told us not to be conformed to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds that offer our bodies as living sacrifices each and every day to The Risen Lord inside of us for Him to do Your Will. Lord, we ask that You enable those of us that You have put into Leadership to have hearts only for You through “The Faith” in the cross. Give us understanding in Your only Way. You said in Jeremiah 3:11-15 that You would give Your People pastors after Your own heart, which shall feed the people with knowledge and understanding, if only Your people would stop justifying their wickedness and their backsliding. O Lord we confess and acknowledge we have justified the wickedness of our selfish lusts and desires and our self-sufficiency attempting to build Your Kingdom by accepting and financing every false way which only builds our kingdom, while we have not obeyed Your Voice in the message of the cross, but have fully rejected Your One Message and Your One Way: Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Lord, You said to proclaim these words to the North, and to say “Return, thou backsliding Israel” (physical Israel- the people, and spiritual Israel- The Church), and You promised that You would not cause Your Anger to fall upon her or keep Your Anger on her forever. Lord, we proclaim these words to Your backsliding people, The Spiritual Israel, and the natural Israel, and we say, “Return, oh Backsliding Israel.” O Lord we beseech You, because we are so corrupted with delusions from the multitude of our iniquities that are enumerable, which have made us stiff-necked and stubborn against Your One Way of the cross, that we need Your Glory to come into our midst that we might repent and return unto You. O Lord we beseech Thee to restore unto us the tabernacle of David in our days that Your Judgments may be stayed while we see Your Goodness and Your Mercy which will cause us to repent.
O God, our ways have been given over to severe corruption and moral decay, because we have rejected Your One Way of the cross. How can we enumerate the multitude of our transgressions and iniquities that we may repent of them and return unto You? They are as numerous as the sands of the seas.
Your Church has looked away while millions of children are murdered (physically and spiritually with false doctrine), because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has looked away while our neighbors are in religious bondage, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has looked away while children are killing children, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your covetous Church has looked away while immorality runs rampant in our streets and creeps into the church, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has looked away while our neighbors are dying without You, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has looked away while people have been sick and had no one to comfort them with the power of God, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves by laying down our lives for Your Will, because it is impossible without “The Faith” in the cross and we have rejected the message of the cross as the only Way, Truth and Life.
Your covetous Church has looked away while our Brothers and Sisters are in need, yet we have plenty, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has looked away while people go hungry, yet we are filled, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has looked away while people are thirsty, yet we are satisfied, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has looked away while people are left in prison with no hope, yet we are free, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has turned away from the strangers and the homeless that are among them, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has turned away from the fatherless and the widow that are among us not comforting them, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has turned away from those who have no clothing, yet our closets are full, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has turned away from those who do not know You, instead of leading them to You, because we are not crucified with Christ.
Your Church has turned away from You, while pursuing after our own good, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have honored You with our lips, yet our hearts have been far from You, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have not sought Your Kingdom first and Your Righteousness serving Your King as our Lord each and every day, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have an appearance of godliness in a form, but we have denied the Power of The Risen Lord inside of us living His Life through us, because we have rejecting the preaching of the cross as the only means for Salvation and Sanctification.
Because of our disobedience to Your Word to lose our lives in order to gain Your Life that never ends, we have feared to walk by “The Faith” that will crucify us with Christ daily.
We are in religious bondage ourselves and have not sought to loose the heavy burdens of the heathen around us, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have not sought to comfort those who mourn for the state of The Church due to our blindness, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have not dealt our Bread (The Risen Lord) to the hungry, because we are not crucified with Christ and therefore can not receive proceeding Words from The Mouth of The Father.
We have not sought to loose the bands of wickedness of others, because we ourselves are in religious bonds of wickedness by not being crucified with Christ.
We have not freed the oppressed from their oppression, because we are the ones oppressing them by worshipping and serving satan through our fleshly religion, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have been ashamed of You, and have hidden Your Candlestick, The Risen Lord, behind the doors of our wicked hearts forsaking our ministry of reconciliation and Your great commission to the nations, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have been critical and judgmental of religions and doctrines that don’t conform to our religions and doctrines, while we fully reject Christ’s only doctrine of the cross that alone can bring us into The Unity of The Spirit in the bond of peace with God Almighty.
We have let the leaven of false doctrine fill The Church by not earnestly contending for “The Faith,” thinking we are keeping unity, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have become lukewarm, and deluded by the increase of goods and worldly riches thinking we have need of nothing, but indeed we have become blinded to the spiritual reality that we are wretched in our fleshly ways, miserable in our trying to serve God, and in need of Salvation again, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have ignorantly practiced witchcraft, sorcery and idolatry to devils and demonic doctrines in our churches, calling it prayer, while we seek the satisfaction of our uncrucified lust, never giving The Father’s Will a thought, because we are not crucified with Christ.
We have not sought the restoration of our Brothers and Sisters who have fallen into apostasy through prayer and fasting and laying down our lives for our friends, because we are not crucified with Christ.
O Lord, forgive us for leaving our first Love of Christ and Him crucified. Forgive us for seeking financial gain for ourselves, instead of the treasures of Your Kingdom for others, and ministry to our own Brothers and Sisters.
Forgive us for robbing You of Your tithes and offerings, while we give tithes and offerings to the devil and his false doctrines moved by emotions and lust instead of by “The Faith” in the cross and Your Word come in the flesh, Whose Flesh only died on the cross. Forgive us for not visiting The Lord of Glory locked up in the dungeons of our hearts while we sought our own means of sanctification in every wind of false doctrine that did not teach faith in the cross.
Forgive us for slaying The King of Glory inside of us to gain His inheritance through our cares of the world and our being deceived by worldly riches.
Forgive us for stripping naked The King of Glory of His Royal Robes while we keep Him locked up inside of our wicked hearts, so we can put on His Robe and sit as gods upon His Throne in our hearts ruling over our own lives, because we rejected His only way of faith in the cross.
Forgive us for wanting to be man pleasers and be served instead of desiring to please You through “The Faith” in the cross and be Servants of The Risen Lord inside of us by dying daily.
Forgive us for starving Your Son to death inside of us by not allowing Him to eat Your Meat of doing Your Will, because we refuse to give up all of our life dying daily through “The Faith” in the cross.
Forgive us for not giving You to drink of our praise and our worship in The Spirit and in The Truth, because we rejected The Truth that we must lose all of our lives through “The Faith” in the cross.
Forgive us for seeking after teachers who would tell us what we want to hear, so we can justify the satisfying of our lust, thus reviving of our sin nature and putting to death The King of Glory inside of us.
Forgive us for our self-righteousness, by rejecting Your Only Righteousness which comes exclusively through “The Faith” in the cross.
Forgive us for the hypocrisy of calling ourselves Christ-like (Christians), while we deny that The Risen Lord has come in our flesh through our wicked religious fleshly lifestyles that cause the heathen to blaspheme God.
Forgive us for our apathy and slothfulness in prayer, fasting, seeking Your Face, seeking Your Kingdom and Your Righteousness; our lack of sacrifice and offering of time and money; our not redeeming Your time through “The Faith,” etc.
Forgive us for the pride and arrogance of putting our life above The Life of The Resurrected Christ inside of us by not losing all of our lives in this wicked and adulterous world.
Forgive us for desiring the things of this world above the doing of Your Will and pleasing You by “The Faith” in the cross.
Forgive us Lord for the multitude of our iniquities that are too numerable to list. Have mercy on Your People, Lord, and cleanse us from our unrighteousness according to the multitude of Your Tender Mercies that endure forever.
Forgive us for not obeying Your Holy Spirit, Lord.
Forgive us for lying to, and grieving Your Holy Spirit by not obeying the unction that You have put inside of us. O Lord! Take not Your Holy Spirit from us.
Create in us a clean heart, O God and renew in us a right spirit.
Give us pastors according to Your heart, which shall feed us with knowledge of The Son of God crucified for us and understanding of how to walk in His Resurrected Life inside of us allowing Him to do Your Will through us by “The Faith” in the cross.
Have mercy on us O Lord, humble us, teach us to pray according to Your Will seeking Your Face and Your Kingdom daily, turn us from our wicked ways with Your Glory amongst us, hear our petitions and supplications, forgive our sins, and heal our land.
Oh Lord, have mercy, and help us to see the error of our ways and help us to turn form them. Come in our midst in Your Glory, we beseech Thee.
Lord, we add our names and our country to the prayers of Daniel in Dan. 9:5-19.
We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Thy Precepts in the message of the cross and from Thy Judgments: neither have we hearkened unto Thy servants the prophets, which spake in Thy Name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongs unto Thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah and our countries, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and our cities and Your Church, and unto all Israel and all Christendom, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries and false doctrines whither Thou has driven them with delusions, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against Thee. O Lord, to us belongs confusion of faces, to our kings and religious leaders, to our princes and our political leaders, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against Thee. To The Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against Him and His Gospel of The Kingdom; neither have we obeyed The Voice of The LORD our God, to walk in His Laws, which He set before us by His Servants the prophets. Yea, Your Church, The Body of Christ, and all Israel have transgressed Thy Law, even by departing, that they might not obey Thy Voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the Law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him. And He has confirmed His Words, which He spake against us, and against our judges (and apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors, and teachers) that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem and Your Church. As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before The LORD our God (seeking His Face), that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand Thy Truth. Therefore has The LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for The LORD our God is righteous in all His works which He does: for we obeyed not His Voice. And now, O Lord our God, that has brought Thy People forth out of the land of Egypt (and The world, the flesh and the devil) with a Mighty Hand, and has gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. O Lord, according to all Thy Righteousness, I beseech Thee, let Thine Anger and Thy Fury be turned away from Thy City Jerusalem and Your Church, Thy Holy Mountain, (and this land which was once founded upon the cross of Christ): because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your Church and Thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O God, hear the prayer of Thy Servant and his supplications, and cause Thy Face to shine upon Thy Sanctuary in Thy People that is desolate, for The Lord’s sake. O my God, incline Thine Ear, and hear; open Thine Eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city and the people which are called by Thy Name: for we do not present our supplications before Thee for our righteousnesses, but for Thy Great Mercies. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for Thine Own sake, O my God: for Thy City, and Thy People are called by Thy Name.
Lord God, we affirm that we have walked away from You, and we have not been the Light that You would have us to be, because we have forsaken faith in Your cross. We understand that Judgment begins at the House of God. We ask You to forgive us for relying on the political process, psychology, the worlds system, religion and every false way to make things right, instead of relying solely on You and Your Way of faith in the cross. And we ask You to teach us again Your Way of the cross in the principles of the doctrine of Christ. Forgive us for complaining and gossiping about the authority of Your Word in Christ’s doctrine over us. And forgive us for complaining and gossiping about your ministers preaching Christ’s doctrine and those who are in authority over this country, instead of praying for them. Restore this nation, Lord, until You bring in the last harvest. We thank You that You are married to us in blood covenant through the cross, and that we are Your Son’s Bride through faith in the cross. O Lord, because You are married to us, we ask that You turn us from our backsliding back to the cross and forgive us of our adulterous ways that have led us astray from the death of self with Your Son on the cross; and bring us back to Zion. Let us sing and break forth into singing, and cry aloud because of the multitude of our children in Christ. Remember Your Covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We ask You to rule over our lives and over this land through “The Faith” in the cross.
And in The Name of The King of kings, The Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, The Name above every name, we take rightful possession of the uttermost parts of the earth, and over all the nations of the world to preach The Gospel of The Kingdom in. And we claim the heathen for the Glory of God to be revealed in His People through the preaching of the cross in these last days. We bind every evil spirit and stronghold of false religion and paganism and anti-Christian doctrine from having any foothold on all the people of the earth which we have claimed for our inheritance. We loose the convicting and sanctifying power of The Holy Spirit to convict of sin righteousness and judgment and to reign in the hearts and the minds of the people.
We Thank You, Holy Father, that You Sanctify Your People; that You bring forth Your conviction on Your people concerning Your Righteousness and Your Sovereignty only through “The Faith” in the cross. We Thank You that You pour out Your Spirit anew on Your people who live in Your New Jerusalem and upon all flesh in the lands we have claimed in Your Name, and that You raise up Your people in boldness to preach The Gospel of Your Kingdom for Your Glory. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your Mercy and Your Grace.
We proclaim to Your Church, Return, Oh backsliding Israel,
In The Name of Jesus Christ, Amen. (1 Jn. 1:7-10; James 5:16-20; Lev. 26:40-42).
